This pattern was created from a fascination with the Japanese way of observing naturequietly, attentively, with respect for form and rhythm. The hibiscus, usually associated with sunlight and warmth, appears here against a bronze background, becoming more intimate, calm, almost nocturnal. Watercolor washes, a defined outline, and a rhythmic composition echo the aesthetics of ukiyo-e, translated into my own visual language: soft, feminine, and contemporary.
