Sujani is a unique and intricate method of quilting where the stuffing is added between the warp and weft threads during the weaving process, rather than sewn in after. Each quilt is uniqueandis hand embroidered with running stitches details inpatterned formations.
There are only a few artisans left in Gujarat that have the skill and equipment to make Sujani, so these quilts are a rare and precious thing. You can read more about their process over on ourblog.
